CODEWELL is an Auckland drum and bass duo made up of Codem.dnb and NOT WELL. Two artists, two paths and one sound built around energy, instinct and the shared feel of a back to back set.
The pair first appeared publicly as CODEWELL on the support lineup for Flowidus' EXOGRID show at Darby Street Station in Auckland in May 2025. Since then the project has kept moving through the local drum and bass circuit, appearing on lineups including Hidden Valley 2025, PRIMATE at Pointers and Auckland events through 2026.
What makes CODEWELL work is the contrast between two selectors moving as one. Their sets lean into rollers, jump up and high energy drum and bass without losing the connection between the room, the crowd and the next tune.
Working with Merchmarket gave CODEWELL a way to carry that identity beyond the booth and into a collection supporters can actually wear. The collection turns the visual language around the duo into practical pieces that stay connected to the sound, the nights and the community around them.
For Merchmarket, the project is a good example of the model in practice: start with the creator identity, build the product around it and let the story behind the collection do the rest.
