Maloney's Barber Shop is an established Auckland business with a strong visual identity, loyal customer base and a real-world retail environment already built around the brand. The project was about turning that identity into a merch system that could live both online and inside the shop.

The brief was to take Maloney's existing artwork and translate it into a coherent eight-product range across tees, crews and hoodies, while keeping the red and blue logo variations consistent across the collection.

Merchmarket structured the collection, connected the product range to the storefront and created a simple in-store pathway using QR signage so customers could move directly from the physical shop into the collection.

The result is a merch setup that feels like part of the business rather than an add-on. The range is live across eight products and continues to generate verified storefront activity across multiple designs.
For another client, the useful lesson is the connection between physical space, brand identity and digital access. A QR code in the shop is simple, but when the product range and storefront are already structured properly, it gives customers an immediate path from seeing the brand to shopping it.
